I hope you have all been enjoying our foodie tips this week, there will be more as we gear up for Organic Fortnight which starts on Saturday. I have compiled a list of companies where you can order organic food for your family. Of course if you have a local farm shop or farmers market near to you and you have the time it is a great way of spending time with your kids and getting them interested in food.

You can email or phone your order in and you may also make a standing order for a weekly, fortnightly, or monthly order. Prices vary depending on what you order.
Abel & Cole
One of the most popular organic food mail order companies, they offer a wide range of organic produce for delivery. Enter your postcode to see what is available for delivery in your area.

If you’re having a party or getting a group of friends together, why not make it a green party?
When thinking about what drinks you want to serve, go for organic or Fairtrade wines and beers instead of the usual. Ethical Superstore have a huge selection of organic, Fairtrade, and socially responsible wines by the bottle and the case, starting from £4.95 (for a bottle not case!). Choose UK grown juices, for example apple or pear juice are usually in good supply, or check out the range of organic and fair trade juices on the market, or even better go to the local greengrocer (if your town still has one!), or check out fruit and vegetables at your local farmers market. Abel and Cole are also a great online retailer of seasonal organic food. Whilst you’re at it, if you’re a big juice fan, invest in a juicer and make your own - my kids love to make their own juices!
When thinking about the food side, depending whether you are just making snacks or a full blown meal, go for organic products and ones that are UK produced. This time of year is great for Strawberries and Cream for dessert. For a main why not get organic, UK produced and grown, meat and vegetables.
